How Implementing Gratitude Can Impact Your Life - 2020

Practicing gratitude has been a hot topic for the last few years. I started using The Five-Minute Journal at the beginning of this year and it’s become a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. But what’s the hype about, right? I wasn’t buying into it at first. For so many of us, the concept of happiness often revolves around financial security, meaningful relationships and career success, to name a few. And while those are all good things, chasing the concept of happiness, in my experience, can sometimes have the opposite effect.

There’s been a ton of research (Exhibit A, B, C) on the impact that practicing gratitude daily can have on your mood and your life. It doesn’t have to be about the big things, but instead acknowledging the small moments and experiences and appreciating them. In choosing to practice gratitude intentionally, I’ve felt more inspired, more content and even more optimistic! Regularly practicing gratitude is a huge factor in my high-vibing energy you see on my Instagram. It truly makes me feel more in touch with the simple pleasures in my life, and that makes me feel so much joy!

Practicing daily gratitude doesn’t have to be complicated! It can be as easy as noticing a lovely perfume that a friend is wearing, thanking someone for holding the door for you or even smiling at a stranger. What’s important is that you take the time to notice and savour the things in your life that bring you joy. Whether that’s eating a delicious meal or noticing your kid’s giggle or listening to your favourite song, there are always moments we can be grateful for.

And here’s the good news. I’ve got your back, sis! Now is the PERFECT time to #VivYourLife! If you want to make room in your daily routine to practice gratitude, you’re going to want to keep reading!
